Stelvio Pass

Stelvio Pass (Passo dello Stelvio), Italy. This remote pass in the Swiss Alps has recently been in the headlines thanks to the guys at Top Gear naming it their best driving road in the world.

The road is the highest paved road in the Eastern Alps and peaks at a whopping 2757 meters high. From top to bottom there are 60 hairpin bends, some of the toughest in the alps and renowned for foxing Stirling Moss in a classic car race back in the 90’s.
