Ed Stafford has taken on an almighty test of endurance by plunging himself deep into the jungle in an attempt to walk the entire length of the Amazon River from Source to Sea. He set off on the 2nd April 2008 and has been battling his way down stream now for around 500 days. Ed is the first person to ever attempt this challenge and he hopes his adventure will excite and inspire people to try and understand the wonders, complexities and importance of the Amazon rainforest.

The journey that Ed has taken on isn’t short of dangers, not only does he have to be wary of malaria, dengue and typhoid but there is a real risk from Anacondas, crocodiles, piranha, electric eels and even killer bees.
