We stopped off in Watansoppeng can you guess what this town is famous for? There are about 12500 of them hanging about the city.
Unicef Water Project
In Sualwesi we visited an amazing UNICEF project. We spend the day building a very simple sand filter, which is a very cheap and efficient way of cleaning the local water.
Toraja Funeral
The Toraja region in Sulawesi is famous for its bizarre funeral traditions. We were lucky enough to see some of their preparations for one of the ceremonies which included a lot of pigs being slaughtered!
Coffin.
This is the beautifully decorated coffin of the Old woman who died. She had been dead for over 2 years.
Wedding Crasher
While traveling up through Sulawesi we crashed a wedding and got to hang out with the beautiful bride, they really go to town with the Make Up !
Indonesia Bus
This is the bus which took us from Mamujo to Palu which took 20 Hours!
Harley Boys
We spent a great day with the Sulawesi Harley Davidson club riding their bikes through the rice paddies.
Hammocks by the Beach
Camping on the beach in the North of Sulawesi on our way to Manado. These hammocks are awesome, rain cover and mozzie net built in !
