Waiting Around
This was a great little village called Bogia that we had to hang around in while we waited for our boat to take us along the coast and then deep into the jungle.
The team in PNG
Claudio, Sam, robin and Charley in Gopun Village very few westerners have visited this remote village. We felt extremely privileged.
Truck In Lae
After traveling to Lae in Papua we met up with this enormous truck and hitched a ride way up into the highlands. A real culture shock after our travel through Australia.
Biking In the Highlands
From Goroka we met up with some local bikers and went on an amazing 2 day ride through the highlands. There were some really tricky roads including a few DIY bridges where there had been landslides.
Canoe along The Sepik
The most famous of the all the transports in Papa New Guinea. The motorized canoe is seen plying the great rivers all over the country. We took this one from Gapun village to Angoram up the Sepik river.
Sleeping in the truck
This was our bed for the night when we had to wait for a river to go down. Due to a lot of rain the rivers had got so deep it was hard for the trucks to cross. It was not the most comfortable nights sleep.
Asaro Mud Men
The Asaro Mud Men are famous in thisarea for being frightening tribal warriors. I was invited along to become one of them for the day.
