What we do
So what’s the big deal?
The Big Earth crew is potty about planning adventures. Give us a map, a pair of walking boots and a tricky challenge, and we’re rolling. But, we soon realised that it gets boring talking about our adventures to one-another. The Big Earth crew wanted to be inspired, and what better way than reading, watching and chatting about adventures you want to do. We realised that it’s your creative inspiration that keeps us producing great adventures.
While we may be practiced off-road adventurers, we’re also realistic and know that not everyone wants to travel the Road of Bones in Siberia, or bike The Long Way Down through Africa to get to Cape Town. This is why we’re building an online adventure-store style website to appeal to all those with a sense of adventure.
Inpsire, plan and share with Big Earth
Ok, so lots of websites inspire you to plan and share their adventures, but Big Earth is different. The Big Earth crew has years of experience in adventures that take you off the trodden-tourist route to show you a bigger and unseen Earth. With our ‘expert editors’ on-board, we’re able to offer the latest advice in their specialised field of adventure, inclusive if travel, cycling, swimming, trekking, climbing, sailing, surfing, motor-biking, photography, filming, health, apparel, maps, GPS, cargo shipment and out-bound training…phew. They’re pretty clever. With our new found adventure heads to help us, Big Earth is able to help you to plan fun, safe and unforgettable adventures.
We keep inspiring by constantly talking to experts and partners in the adventure and travel industry. Most importantly, we grow by sharing our and your adventure tips, likes and dislikes via videos, photography, editorial and social chat.
We’re by no means the oracle on our ‘big Earth’ We’re still listening, watching and learning. Keeping it green and trying to stay out of mischief. But what really stands out about our Big Earth crew, is our incredible capacity to get behind your exciting adventures and make things happen. Keep your adventures coming at info@bigearth.co.uk
Big Earth TV
One of the biggest inspirations behind setting up bigearth.com was to showcase the amazing amount of video and documentary adventure footage you’ve sent us. Please keep sending us your videos and we’ll showcase our favourite on bigearth.com/tv. And, if we really love your style and creative head, we might just get in touch to take it further.
Expert adventure editors
The Big Earth crew is working with ‘expert adventure editors’ to look after each adventure and sporting discipline of bigearth.com. We’re proud to be working with Kylie Maebus for our motorbiking section, who can divulge the latest dirt on the biking world, inclusive of exclusive celebrity interviews, blogs, features and competitions. We’ll let you know, via our newsletter, when we get all our new editors on-board.
Keeping it social
Twitter, Facebook and YouTube are our new obsession. We can tweet about your adventures while you’re in the Amazon Jungle and we’re racing across the desert. There’s no stopping us keeping in touch with our Big Earth friends. We’re also following some inspirational people, constantly uploading enthralling and laugh-out-loud YouTube videos, and staying in touch with thousands of Facebook friends. We’ll soon be launching our On the Road forum, where we can interact with you to offer advice, tips and stories on planning worldwide adventures.
Likeminded partners
To ensure Big Earth offers the most up-to-date and credible information on adventure, we continue to partner with likeminded brands which have the same future aspirations of Big Earth. We’re proud to be working with:
